Release 18 System Requirements: Interfaces
Keysight ADS Interface
The Keysight ADS Interface is available for all operating systems supported by Sonnet (see System Requirements page). In addition, the following list shows the compatibility status for various versions of Sonnet:
- Sonnet 18.58: Supports ADS 2020 - 2024.
- Sonnet 18.56: Supports ADS 2020.
- Sonnet 18.54: Supports ADS 2020 - 2022.
- Sonnet 18.52: Supports ADS 2020 - 2022.
- Sonnet 17.xx: Supports ADS 2016.
- Sonnet 16.xx: Supports ADS 2015.
Cadence AWR Microwave Office Interface
The Cadence AWR Microwave Office Interface is available for computer systems operating Windows 7 and newer. In addition, the following list shows the compatibility status for various versions of Cadence AWR's Microwave Office. Note that you must purchase the Cadence AWR Interface option in Sonnet Suites and the EM socket option in Microwave Office from Cadence AWR in order to use this interface.
Microwave Office 32-bit version 10.08 and 11.02: Compatible with Sonnet Suites version 16.52 or earlier. The Sonnet Microwave Office Interface software may be compatible with other 32-bit versions of Microwave Office but is not supported for those versions. Translated files created by Cadence AWR Microwave Office Interface are compatible with Sonnet version 16.
Microwave Office 64 bit version 11.01, 12.01 and 12.02: These versions of Cadence AWR Microwave Office are not supported by any version of the interface in Sonnet Suites.
Microwave Office 64-bit version 12.03 or higher: There is a beta test of a 64 bit Cadence AWR Microwave Office Interface available in Sonnet Suites version 16 that is compatible with Microwave Office 12.03 or higher. If you are interested in the 64-bit version of the interface, please contact your Sonnet Software representative for more information on obtaining the beta software.
Cadence Virtuoso Interface
The Cadence Virtuoso Interface is available for computer systems operating Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0 and above and SUSE Linux Enterprise 11.0 and above. Cadence's Virtuoso IC5.141, IC6.14 or above is required to interface with Sonnet.The Sonnet Virtuoso Interface software may be compatible with Cadence's Virtuoso IC12.1, but has not been fully tested. Translated files created by the Cadence Virtuoso Interface are compatible with Sonnet V16.
Gerber/ODB++ Translator
The Gerber/ODB++ Translator is available only on the Windows platform.
SonnetLab Toolbox for MATLAB
SonnetLab has not yet been updated to include all the changes to the Sonnet 15 or later file format. Therefore, SonnetLab cannot read V15 or later files. However, files generated by SonnetLab can be analyzed by Sonnet V16.
