Sonnet Suites - Enhanced Meshing Engine
Smarter Circuit Discretization Without Loss of Accuracy
The Sonnet EM Analysis meshing engine has been improved to reduce discretization (subsection) count to reduce memory and speed analysis without compromising the accuracy you've come to expect from Sonnet.
The meshing engine efficiently meshes regions around vias, diagonal transmission lines and edges, and over extended ground planes. Accuracy is not compromised; fine sampling necessary for low analysis error levels is preserved at and near electrically significant discontinuities and on transmission line edges.
The meshing engine changes apply to all Sonnet Suite EM analysis engines, including Sonnet Lite.
Enhanced Viewer shows Color Coded Meshing Type Regions
The subsection viewer has been enhanced so that Rectangular Meshing regions are displayed in red, while Conformal Mesh regions are shown in green. The double ring coupler design below was meshed with Conformal Meshing applied to the full structure. (This feature is available in the Sonnet Professional Suite only.)
