Legacy 32-bit Interface with AWR Microwave Office
Seamless Integration with Cadence AWR Microwave Office Suite
Taking advantage of Cadence AWR's EM Socket™ open standard, the Sonnet Cadence AWR Microwave Office Interface gives you seamless integration of Sonnet Suites and the Microwave Office design framework. EM structures created within Microwave Office can be analyzed with Sonnet's best-in-class planar electromagnetic analysis engine by simply specifying Sonnet as the EM simulation engine without ever leaving the Microwave Office design environment. Take full control over the interface options through the tightly integrated Sonnet Options dialog box within Microwave Office or choose to work in Sonnet's Project Editor by using Microwave Office's "native editor" feature. The Microwave Office Interface also allows you to export the entire EM structure and its data to be used outside the Microwave Office framework and the interface allows you to import existing Sonnet EM structures into Microwave Office (32-bit only).
The Microwave Office Interface has the capability to define any metals used in the Microwave Office EM Structure to be modeled as a Thick Metal in Sonnet. Starting with Microwave Office version 7 and higher, you may choose Sonnet as the EM simulator of choice for Cadence AWR's X-Models™ and to simulate the EM structure generated by its Extraction Block. In addition, you can invoke Remote EM Analysis, and drive both the Sonnet Cluster and emCluster® all from the Microwave Office design environment.

If you are a Sonnet customer with a present installation, you can evaluate the Microwave Office Interface by contacting us and requesting a Microwave Office Interface demo license. Since Sonnet is already installed on your network; you simply need a license to enable the Sonnet Microwave Office Interface.
Cadence AWR Microwave Office customers without Sonnet can also contact us and request a full evaluation copy of Sonnet Professional.
