When you select Setup - Directories from the main menu of the Cadence Virtuoso Interface the Directories dialog box is opened. This dialog box allows you to select your working directories for the Cadence Virtuoso Interface. All of these directories should have read and write permissions set. The various fields in the dialog box are explained below.
Sonnet Working Directory: This is the top level of the directory in which all of your files used in the interface are stored. By default, this directory is $HOME/Sonnet. You may change the directory by entering the path in the entry box or click on the Browse button to the right to open a browse window which will allow you to select the desired directory.
Sonnet State Directory: This is the directory in which saved states are stored and from which states may be loaded. For more information on saving states, see Session - Save State. By default, this directory is $HOME/Sonnet/.sonnet_states. You may change the directory by entering the path in the entry box or click on the Browse button to the right to open a browse window which will allow you to select the desired directory.
Sonnet Substrate Directory: This is the directory in which the substrate files are stored and from which substrate files may be loaded. For more information on substrate files, see the Substrate File Setup dialog box. By default, this directory is $HOME/Sonnet/matl. You may change the directory by entering the path in the entry box or click on the Browse button to the right to open a browse window which will allow you to select the desired directory.
Sonnet Technology Directory: This is the directory in which the Sonnet technology files (.stf) are stored and from which Sonnet technology files may be loaded. For more information on Sonnet technology files, see the Substrate File Setup dialog box. By default, this directory is $HOME/Sonnet/SonTech. You may change the directory by entering the path in the entry box or click on the Browse button to the right to open a browse window which will allow you to select the desired directory.
