Sonnet Options property page

The Translation Options section of the Sonnet Options property page, shown below, allows you to control how your layout is translated into a Sonnet project before it is simulated. The controls are explained below.

Simplify Single Vias: This option places a bounding box on vias being imported and creates a rectangular via the size of the bounding box in place of the imported via.

Simplify Via Arrays: This option locates via arrays and perform simplification to create one equivalent via in Sonnet to represent the via array in order to increase analysis efficiency by reducing the memory and processing requirements for the circuit. This feature automatically performs this simplification during the translation process using controls set by the user. For a detailed discussion of Via Array Simplification, please see the "Via Array Simplification" chapter in the Sonnet Translators manual. The options which control simplification are available in the advanced translation options.

Advanced: Click on this button to open the Sonnet Advanced Translation Options dialog box which allows you to control the translation of your EM structure to a Sonnet project.
