Resistance2

Resistance2 is one of the measurements available in the Manage Curves dialog box of a Graph Tab. Resistance2 is the series resistance between any pair of ports assuming a PI-model as shown below.  The units are based on the Resistance units setting.

In the above figure, the resistance2 calculation gives the value of R. Any parasitics to ground (such as Y1 and Y2) are not included in the resistance calculation. This model is valid for any number of ports.

Resistance2 is computed as follows:

where Ymn is the y-parameter for selected ports m and n in the Ports section of the Properties pane below.
