A Goal Set allows you to define a set of frequency sweeps and goals for optimization in the Optimization page of the Circuit Settings dialog box that you may use to analyze your circuit.
Note: Defining whether a variable is used in an optimization and it's value range is done in the Variables page of the Circuit Settings dialog box.
Goal Set name: The Goal Set name is automatically generated. Goal sets are always numbered in consecutive order starting at one (1).
Use in analysis checkbox: A checkbox appears in front of each Goal Set, frequency entry and goal entry. Selecting this checkbox includes the entry in the analysis.
Add Frequency Sweep drop list: You click on this icon to add a frequency sweep to your goal set. You select the type of frequency sweep from the drop list. Once you select a type of sweep, a Frequency entry is created with the appropriate control fields. The entry is in edit mode with the control fields blank. You enter the desired values in the control fields, then press the enter key. The frequency entry is updated to display the frequency sweep. If you wish to edit the settings, you may select the frequency entry, then click on the Edit button at the top of the Sweeps page, or double-click on the entry. There are six types of frequency sweep available: Adaptive Sweep (ABS), Linear Sweep, Exponential Sweep, Frequency List, Single Frequency, and DC Frequency.
Add Goal icon: You click on this icon to add a goal entry to your goal set. Clicking on this icon opens the Goal Editor dialog box. See Goal Editor dialog box for details on defining a goal.
