GMax

GMax is one of the measurements available in the Manage Curves dialog box of a Graph Tab. GMax is the maximum available or maximum stable gain depending on the value of K. Valid only for two-ports. Gmax for a passive device calculates the minimum dissipation loss, i.e., the loss when both ports are terminated for minimum loss.

GMax is computed from the 2-port s-parameters of the device as follows:
