Sonnet Technology File Editor

The Sonnet Technology File Editor allows you to directly edit and create Sonnet Technology Files (.stf), which can be saved as templates, applied to projects, and more. There are multiple ways to open the Editor:

Shown below is a picture of the STF editor with a very simple stackup loaded.

You may adjust all the properties of your stackup by clicking the settings button which opens the Circuit Settings dialog box. This dialog box contains a subset of the items in the Project Editor's Circuit Settings dialog box.

You may also double-click the layers and the metal/via/brick symbols in the main editor window to edit the layer properties directly.

You may change the mapping of your third party CAD layers to Sonnet Technology Layers by clicking on the Mapping button. This button is only enabled if a Layer Mapping File has been loaded. Typically, a Layer Mapping File will automatically be loaded when accessing the Technology File Editor from one of Sonnet's Interfaces. The CAD Layer Mapping window contains all possible CAD layer names and drawing purposes, as well as the ones that are presently used in the design.

Once you have finished making your changes, click on the Save button or select File - Save or File - Save As to save your changes.
