Selecting Object - Flip opens the Flip dialog box which allows you to flip the selected polygon(s) in the following manner:
The flip axis runs through a pivot point which you also set in the dialog box. You can perform a flip on a single polygon or multiple polygons; the flip operation will be done to all the objects selected when Object ⇒ Flip is performed.
Left-Right button: Click on the left-right button to flip the selected polygon(s) about a vertical axis so that its left is on the right and vice versa.
Up-Down button: Click on the up-down button to flip the selected polygon(s) about a horizontal axis so that its top is on the bottom and vice versa.
Make a Copy: Select this checkbox is you wish to retain the original polygon(s) when performing the flip. When you perform the flip, a new polygon is created which is a copy of the original but flipped.
The following choices are available for pivot points:
Selection Center: The flip axis runs through the center of the area enclosing all selected objects.
Individual Centers:If there are multiple polygons selected, each polygon will flip about its own center.
Local Origin: The polygon flips about an axis through the local origin.
Pivot Point:You can set a custom pivot point by clicking on the Set Pivot button in the Flip dialog box, and then clicking in the Project Editor window to set the pivot point. Once the pivot point is set, the Pivot Point radio button will be available and selected. The polygon will then flip about an axis through this custom point.
Box Center: This selection uses the box center as the pivot point for the flip.
