UT_LDiff

Untapped Differential Inductance is one of the measurements available in the Manage Curves dialog box of a Graph Tab. Untapped Differential Inductance is the inductance of a untapped inductor with at least 2 ports. The units are based on the Inductance units setting. Any additional ports (3, 4, etc.) are assumed to be connected to a patterned ground shield and are short-circuited. All parasitic elements between the inductor and ground are included in the computed value for differential inductance.

UT_LDiff is computed as follows:

where each Ymn is one element from the 2-port y-parameter matrix for the inductor. It is assumed that ports 1 and 2 are the input and output ports.

Please see the Measurement Properties topic for an explanation of each field in this dialog box.
