The Inductor Model Options dialog box is opened when you click on the button that appears to the right of the Inductor Model checkbox in the Advanced Model options dialog box.
Topology: There are two topologies available: Untapped and Center Tapped. Select the desired topology from this drop list.
Data Type: This allows you to select de-embedded or non-de-embedded data. For a detailed discussion of de-embedding, see De-embedding in the Sonnet User’s Guide. De-embedded is the default setting.
High Precision: Clicking on this checkbox outputs high precision (16 figures) data for the response file.
Include Adaptive Data: Clicking on this checkbox includes all the discrete and adaptive data from an ABS analysis. If you wish to only export the discrete data points, disable this checkbox. The checkbox is set by default.
Generate Predicted S-parameter data file: Selecting this checkbox creates a file which contains the predicted S-parameter data produced by the inductor model. The file is created in the same directory in which the output model file is created. This file allows you to visually inspect how close a fit your inductor model is to your source data. This option is selected by default.
Optimization Band: This section of the dialog box only appears if Center Tapped is selected as the Topology. Enter the frequency band over which you wish to optimize your inductor model here by entering the starting frequency of the band in the Start text entry box and the ending frequency in the Stop text entry box. If you wish the software to automatically calculate the optimization band, select the Auto checkbox. If this checkbox is selected, then both of the frequency text entry boxes are disabled and the values used are plus and minus 10% of the frequency where the maximum Q occurs.
