Analysis Monitor Preferences dialog box - SonnetCluster Tab

File => Preferences

Using the SonnetCluster tab of the Preferences dialog box in the analysis monitor, you set up your computer to be a client to a Sonnet Cluster. In order for you to run em in a Sonnet Cluster, the master computer and slaves must be configured and running sonnetcluster and emserver, respectively.

Enable Sonnet Cluster Analysis

If you do not wish to run any of your em analyses on a Sonnet Cluster, select the Disable running on Sonnet Cluster computers radio button. This is the default setting.

If you wish to run em analyses on a Sonnet Cluster, select the Enable running on Sonnet Cluster computers radio button. When this radio button is selected, the New Batch Creation dialog box appears when you run an analysis. These allow you to select a remote server or cluster on which to run an analysis and provide the path to your data files to the server.

Note that the New Batch Creation dialog box only appears if the Prompt for cluster checkbox (see below) is also selected.

Sonnet Cluster Computers

You may select the default cluster server you wish to run on from the Default Server drop list. All Sonnet Clusters that have been defined appear in this list. To add a cluster server, click on the Edit Cluster List button which opens the Edit SonnetCluster Server List dialog box.

If you wish to be prompted as to which cluster server you will use when you run an analysis, select the Prompt for server instead of using default checkbox. If this checkbox is unselected, then analyses are run on the default cluster server selected in the Default Server drop list.
