GUI Interfaces or 3D view are not displayed properly on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 or later

Known Bugs

Symptoms

When attempting to run Sonnet on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.2 or later, the interfaces are not displayed correctly or the 3D view in the project editor does not display the circuit.

Cause

Sonnet Suites V16.5x is not supported on RHEL 7.2 and later due to several known incompatibility issues with the default Nouveau driver and software rendering of OpenGL and Motif.

Workaround

You need to install Sonnet on a platform supported by the software. For a list of supported platforms, see www.sonnetsoftware.com/requirements.
