GDSII Translator - Import Options dialog box

The GDSII Import Advanced Options dialog box is opened when you click on the Advanced button in the Import Options dialog box while performing a GDSII Import.

Merge planar polygons: Selecting this option will combine overlapping or touching polygons of the same metal type and Technology Layer into a single polygon. So only independent polygons of the same metal type or metal polygons assigned to the same Technology Layer are combined. This reduces the number of polygons in your final translated project.
