FlexNet License manager does not run on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and Desktop without adding libraries
Symptoms
When running on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) or SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED), you receive the error message:
SLES/SLED 12.x License Manager (lmgrd: not found)
Cause
As of this release, SLES and SLED do not provide LSB 3.0 packages and the LSB libraries are required in order to run FlexNet 11.12.1 and later.
Workaround
Create the following links as root to provide the LSB 2.0 compatibility links for FlexNet's license manager program, lmgrd.
ln -s /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 /lib64/ld-lsb-x86-64.so.3
ln -s /lib/ld-linux.so.2 /lib/ld-lsb.so.3
