Segmentation Fault Occurs When Translating Using the Cadence Virtuoso Interface
Symptoms
When translating a Cadence Virtuoso layout into a Sonnet project using Sonnet's Cadence Virtuoso Interface, a segmentation fault occurs.
Cause
If Sheet Resistance at DC is used to define the loss of a metal type, the resulting .matl file is incorrectly generated. This is due to a known bug in the software, which will be fixed in a future release.
Workaround
Edit the .matl file to manually enter the Sheet Resistance value before performing the translation. For details on the syntax of the .matl file, please see "METAL" and "VIA" keyword entries in the Substrate File (.matl) Format document on the Sonnet web site.
