NI AWR Microwave Office Interface - 32 Bit - Sonnet Options property page
Once you have completed the setup of your Sonnet simulation environment, specified your analysis frequencies and specified your translation options, you may wish to save all these settings, stored in the “present” state, for use in another design. Clicking on the States button in the Sonnet Options page NI AWR's Microwave office opens the Sonnet States dialog box which allows you to save the desired information. You may also create new states, load in existing states and delete states. The controls are explained below.
Save State: Select this radio button if you wish to save a state. The name under which you wish to save the state should be entered in the text entry box to the right of the radio button. The options saved in this state are based on the checkboxes selected at the bottom of the dialog box. Once the desired options are selected and the name is entered, click on the Save button to save the state. The Existing States list will be updated to include the State you just created. Please note that you may not use any spaces in state names.
Load State: Select this radio button if you wish to load an existing state. You should select the desired state from the list of Existing States, then click on the Load button. When you do this, all of the settings that were saved to the selected state are applied to the present project. If you are not sure what is contained in an existing state, you may view the state first. See below for instructions.
View State: Select this radio button if you wish to see what options are included in an existing state. Click on the desired state in the Existing States list, then click on the View button. A Sonnet View File window is opened. Any entries that start with ";//" are not included in the state. All other entries are saved in the state.
Delete State: Select this radio button if you wish to delete an existing state. Click on the desired state in the Existing States list, then click on the Delete button to delete the state. The Existing States list is updated and the selected state is removed.
Set New EM Structure State: Select this radio button if you wish to select a state to use as the default for new EM structures. When you create a new EM structure, the options in the selected state are automatically selected when the EM structure is created. Click on the desired state in the existing states list, then click on the Set button below.
Set New EM Structure State to <none>: If you presently have a state selected as the default for new EM structures and no longer wish to have a default state apply to new EM structures, select this radio button, then click on the Set button. New EM structures will now use the factory defaults when created.
What Options to Set: These checkboxes determine what settings are saved in a state. If the checkbox is selected, all the fields pertaining to that option are saved in the state.
