The General page of the Edit Preferences dialog box appears when you click on "General" in the sidebar menu of the Edit Preferences dialog box in the Current Density Tab. This page allows you to choose some display options detailed below.

Calculate Independent Scale for each Level: Selecting this option causes the display scale to be recalculated each time you change levels. The scale will be based on the values displayed on the present level. If this option is not selected, one scale is used for all metal levels.

Via Shows on Both Top and Bottom: Select this option if you wish to display the meshing for both the top and bottom levels of a via. If this option is not selected, then the via meshing is only displayed at the bottom of the via

Overlapped Metal Display: This setting applies to metal traces which have been simulated using the TrueVolume metal loss model. TrueVolume metal traces are partitioned into multiple, stacked, metal volumes in the Z-direction. Each metal volume carries volume current. This setting controls whether the volume current above the present 2D metal level is displayed (Show metal from below is unchecked), or the volume current below the present 2D metal level is displayed (Show metal from below is checked).
