CT-RDiff

Center-Tapped Differential Resistance is one of the measurements available in the Manage Curves dialog box of a Graph Tab. Center-Tapped Differential Resistance is the resistance of a center-tapped inductor with at least 3 ports. The units are based on the Resistance units setting. Port 3 is assumed to be connected to the center-tap and is open-circuited. Any additional ports (4, 5, etc.) are assumed to be connected to a patterned ground shield and are short-circuited. All parasitic elements between the inductor and ground are included in the computed value for differential resistance.

CT_RDiff is computed as follows:

where each Ymn is one element from the 3-port y-parameter matrix for the inductor. It is assumed that ports 1 and 2 are the input and output ports, and that port 3 is connected to a center-tap.

Please see the Measurement Properties topic for an explanation of each field in this dialog box.
