Selecting Object - Port Properties opens the Port Properties dialog box. The Port Properties dialog box allows you to modify the number, type and impedance associated with the selected port(s) as well as specifying the reference plane or calibration standard length for the port. It also allows you to set properties for co-calibrated internal ports. This command is only enabled when at least one port is selected in your circuit.
NOTE: If multiple ports are selected which have different parameters, the entry ''Mixed'' appears in the pertinent control field. Changes made in the Properties dialog boxes will affect the parameters of all selected ports.
Port Number: Renumber the port by entering a new value in the Port Number text box. Ports in your circuit must be numbered sequentially. For more detailed information about port numbering, please refer to Special Port Numbering in the Sonnet User's Guide.
Type: Select the port type from a drop list consisting of Box-wall, Delta Gap and Co-calibrated. The appearance of the dialog box changes depending on which type of port is selected. If the port is a via port, the type drop list displays "Via" and is disabled. See a port type below for an explanation of the rest of the controls in this dialog box. Note that if the port is part of a component, the Component is displayed in the type field and may not be changed.
