To create a Broadband SPICE model, select Models ⇒ Broadband Spice ⇒ Create View from the main menu of the Cadence Virtuoso Interface window. This command opens the Create Spectre Broadband Spice Model View dialog box. Note that this command is only enabled if simulation data is available for the present settings and a Broadband Spice Model view does not presently exist.
Broadband Spice File in Spectre Format: This specifies the input data file used to create the model. The default location for your translated Sonnet project is displayed. If you wish to change the input data file, you may directly edit this entry or click on the Browse button to open a browse window and select another data file.
Model Name: Select the desired model name from the drop list.
Symbol Settings: The present Symbol Settings are displayed. To change these settings, click on the Symbol Options button to open the Model Symbol Options dialog box.
Sonnet Project File: Clicking on the Project Options button opens the Advanced Project Options dialog box which allows you to view the advanced run options used to create the analysis data being used to create the model. The Sonnet project name is displayed but may not be changed.
Ports: The pin list for the model is displayed here. Click on the Ports button to open the Ports dialog box which allows you to view the port settings used to create the analysis data from which the model is created.
Note: Changing the symbol, project or port settings may require a simulation to generate model data that reflects those changes.
