Insert – Add User Model Element (Netlist Only)

The User Model Component allows you to add a model from a library that has been purchased, or developed in-house, to your geometry. There is no limit to the number of ports you may use for a User Model Component. Modelithics models are presently the only supported vendor, although it is possible to create custom models. If you are interested in doing so, please contact your Sonnet Software representative for details.

NOTE: Use of the Modelithics models requires a Modelithics license, which must be purchased separately from Modelithics, Inc., in addition to your Sonnet license.

Model Browser Dialog Box

The Model Browser dialog box is opened when you click on the User Model Browse button in the Component Properties dialog box when editing a geometry project. It is also opened when you select Insert - Add User Model Element when editing a netlist project.

This dialog box allows you to browse through the model library and choose a model. Once you have selected a model, the model name is displayed in this dialog box. The model library opened by this command is defined by the path entered in the User Model tab of the 3rd Party Interfaces page of the Sonnet Administration dialog box (Admin -Third Party Interfaces, then click on the User Model tab.)
