Circuit - Link Technology

It is possible to load in the physical characteristics of another project including its Technology Layers, layer information, metal types, dielectric brick materials and top and bottom metal. When you select Circuit - Link Technology from the project editor main menu, a Browse window appears which allows you to select a Sonnet Technology File (.stf), Sonnet project or a substrate file (.matl). When you select a technology file, project or substrate file, its Technology Layers, dielectric layers, metal types, dielectric bricks , top cover metal type and bottom cover metal type are imported and used by the present circuit you have open. Please note that executing this command will replace the present technology of the project, including any Technology Layers. Since the technology is linked, each time your project is opened, the linked technology file is also read and loaded, so that your project file is kept up to date with any changes in the linked technology file.
