Analysis - Simulate

To start the analysis, you click on the Simulate button in the main Cadence Virtuoso Interface window or select Analysis - Simulate from the main menu in the Cadence Virtuoso Interface. You may also run an analysis by selecting the Analysis - Simulate and Release command.

When you select Simulate, the software checks the sync data between the Virtuoso SonnetEM view and the Sonnet project and the stored properties are compared against the actual values in the interface. If these are not in sync, a query window appears. Select “yes” if you wish to translate and continue with the simulation.

Note: Translation of your SonnetEM view deletes any existing models and data.

The SonnetEM view is translated to a Sonnet project and the analysis is started. Messages in the CIW log and at the bottom of the Cadence Virtuoso Interface window allow you to track the progress of the simulation. If you have elected to create models, the models are automatically created after the simulation is complete.
